They don’t wait for someone else to protect them. They step in between the enemy and their own people themselves.

There’s a certain type of woman.

They don’t wait for someone else to protect them. They step between the enemy and their own people.

They apply tourniquets with fingers numb from the cold.

They carry the wounded out amid the whistling of shells.

They call their children from the front lines and say, “Everything’s fine”—even when all around them is hell.

And then they return.

And they try to piece themselves back together, bit by bit.

Panic attacks at three in the morning.

Depression that defies explanation.

A body that remembers everything—even when the mind wants to forget.

Ukrainian women are more than just strength.

They embody a kind of courage for which no name has yet been invented.

Right now, two of our female veterans—medical professionals who have served on the front lines—are heading to Teplice, Czech Republic, for rehabilitation.

Their first trip abroad.

Their first time having someone take care of them.

Be the one to reach out.
