‘I was absolutely delighted. I’ve recovered. I’ve been cured.’

Serhiy Kalniv. A veteran. A former prisoner of war. A man left with stomach problems, joint pain, lower back pain and PTSD as a result of the war.

He travelled to Teplice, in the Czech Republic — and returned a changed man.

His heartburn has become less frequent. His lower back feels much better. His legs feel lighter when he walks. And his mind — for the first time in a long while — has simply found peace. No explosions. No anxiety. No news reports of something being bombed somewhere.

“You wake up — and it’s quiet. Nothing is rumbling, nothing is firing,” says Serhiy.

A personalised approach for everyone. A swimming pool. Massages. Treatments twice a day. And after lunch — free time. Walks around the city, swans on the lake, coffee at a local café.

The ‘Returning to Yourself’ Foundation’s programme isn’t an advert. It’s the real-life experience of a real person who has endured captivity and war — and has finally given themselves the chance to recover.

Money can be earned. Health — once lost, cannot be regained.

Get involved and help the next generation of veterans get to a place where they are welcomed as people – with care and professionalism.
